Remember those infomercials for food processors that "did it all?" The announcer would say something like, this does it all, folks! Then he'd proceed to show you how it slices, dices, chops, pares, grates, cuts, minces, purees, mixes, blends, shakes rattles and rolls.
Looking at all these verses reminds me of just how much the Holy Spirit does in our lives.
He does it all, folks. (And you don’t even have to pay shipping and handling).
The teacher of all things teaches us about Christ, gets us to the truth, intercedes, empowers, sends us, helps us, comforts us.
The Holy Spirit will also confront us when we are doing sinful things. We need that. After all, God is forming you into a Son or Daughter of the Great King, and so He will not finish working on you until you are perfectly Christ-like. When you ask the Holy Spirit to search you, He may find something not so good. If so, confess it immediately and receive God's forgiveness. After all, as it says in today's lesson "He is even more ready to forgive and to hear our concerns than we are to give them to Him!"
