Week 1, Day 3 Our Response

There's a reason we call this study, "New Hope 101." These first three days are as foundational as one can get, and they remind me of the beauty and simplicity of the gospel message. God loves us, and made this world and everything in it. We have rebelled and made ourselves into "god." Instead of destroying us, God loves us rebels, and he made a way of salvation through his own son Jesus dying on the cross for us. Anyone who will trust in Jesus for forgiveness will receive it. The Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us and secure our salvation. Good stuff.

After this day's Quiet Time, the New Hope 101 really gets rolling.

Don't forget to keep the comments coming, so we can encourage one another!

Question for ya'll to ponder:

Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast."

Does "the gift of God" refer to grace or faith?

What difference, if any, does that make?

Think about it.
